Amman Arab University Organizes Student Visit to the Jordan Scout and Guide Association

Amman Arab University Organizes Student Visit to the Jordan Scout and Guide Association As part of its commitment to fostering values of belonging and volunteerism among students, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Amman Arab University organized a student visit to the Jordan Scout and Guide Association. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation between the university and national institutions and to broaden students’ perspectives in the field of community development, with the participation of a number of university students.

The visit included a comprehensive lecture for the students, introducing the history, objectives, and various activities of the Association, which seeks to develop the capabilities of young men and women in Jordan. The speakers highlighted the establishment of the Association in 1954 as part of the global scouting movement, evolving over time into a national umbrella dedicated to empowering youth through leadership and educational programs that contribute to shaping a conscious and proactive generation.

The Jordan Scout and Guide Association is an accredited member of both the World Organization of the Scout Movement and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It plays a pivotal role in representing Jordan in international scouting events. During the visit, students from Amman Arab University expressed their admiration for the significant role played by the Association, praising the impact of the scouting movement in shaping character and fostering a sense of responsibility and national belonging.

This visit follows the formation of the university’s “Rover and Ranger Clan” by the Deanship of Student Affairs as part of a series of field activities aimed at strengthening ties between students and national institutions and highlighting inspiring experiences that promote the values of leadership and active citizenship.
