The agreement aims to implement the "Workplace Training" program.
Funded by the Youth, Technology and Jobs (YTJ) Project at MODEE and managed by the Digital Skills Association (Digiskills), the program seeks to empower Jordanian youth to enter the job market and enhance their employability by building their digital and professional skills in line with the requirements of the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The signing ceremony was attended by: Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship; Mr. Hatim Qashoa', Director of the Financial Affairs Department; Mr. Yousf Al-Khalid, Head of the Training and Guidance Unit at the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship at the University; and several officials from the Ministry.
Under this program, joint coordination for the workplace training track will be managed with Amman Arab University for 38 trainees, ensuring training quality and effectiveness while reinforcing principles of practice-based and experiential learning. Through this partnership, the University will provide program participants with high-quality training opportunities that combine theoretical knowledge and practical application within real work environments. This will contribute to preparing graduates capable of efficiently engaging in the local and regional job market and enhance opportunities for current employees to develop skills aligned with digital transformation requirements.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Al-Widyan emphasized that this agreement translates Amman Arab University's strategic vision of strengthening the link between university education outcomes and labor market needs. It provides students with realistic training environments enabling them to develop their technical and practical skills, thereby enhancing their employment opportunities and supporting the national economy with qualified cadres. For his part, H.E. Eng. Samirat expressed his appreciation for the cooperation with Amman Arab University, highlighting the importance of such partnerships in empowering Jordanian youth and building their technical and digital capacities, qualifying them to compete in the modern job market locally and regionally.
Dr. Ayasrah, the Project Director, indicated that this cooperation represents a significant step towards enhancing the University's role as a pioneering educational institution seeking to engage with the actual challenges of the labor market. He stated: "Through this project, Amman Arab University aims to make a direct impact on youth empowerment – not only through theoretical training, but by placing them in real work environments that grant them the opportunity to acquire skills and experiences meeting the requirements of the digital age. The project is carefully designed to serve both job seekers and employees wishing to develop their skills, in partnership with a select group of national institutions."
This program is part of broader national efforts seeking to bridge the gap between academic skills and market needs, and to support Jordanian institutions and companies in building digitally qualified human competencies capable of contributing to the comprehensive digital transformation process.
